Awesomeness of the day: USOpen.com

Live streaming video of the open playoff, no commercials … awesome. this has been embraced by myself, tons of friends, and even several of my co-workers, and if you knew how unusual it is to openly talk about streaming internet sports in our office, you’d know. The internet blows me away sometimes.
Cheer up, Maj. It’s right there for you.
Agassi pulls his best Happy Gilmore
In honor of Andre Agassi’s last hooray at the U.S. Open (which begins tonight in a match against Andrei (same name, different spelling!) Pavel) YouTube provides us with this Nike commercial circa 1993.
It’s rebel Andre with his rawk! mane of hair tooling around out on the golf course. He even busts out a couple Happy Gilmore-esque driver shots, which are damn near impossible to pull off. Well, for me, at least. That’s because I routinely shoot over 100 for 18 holes, but that’s for a different post entirely.
So yeah, just watch the video.
EDIT: The dude that put the video on YouTube disabled the embedding code. Bastard. So watch the golf commercial of Andre here. I put up a Red Hot Chili Peppers and Andre commercial instead. Weird how they are still a big part of pop culture to this day, no?
In honor of the U.S. Open
So, we’re not exactly major golfers around here, but we love the major tournaments, especially when Michelle Wie isn’t playing in them. (Kidding!)
In honor of the Open at Winged Foot, the difficulty of which is apparently causing grown men to break out in tears when they hit into the rough, here’s a different sort of golf video. It’s, well, it’s interesting, to say the least.
