The first of many
Last week, we threw an awful lot of text at you. Seriously. Just scroll down a bit and you’ll see. So, during this brand new and exciting five-day period, we’re going to try and shore that up a bit. (We’re all visual learners anyways, no?)
Here it is in all its glory; Reggie Bush’s first career touchdown. If you’re in class or at work, no worries. The volume isn’t all that nescessary.
Enjoy.
Oh, glorious day
That’s right, baby. The day you’ve all been waiting for. The day Electronics Boutique and Gamestop employees across the country finally, finally, have a reason to wear their old college jerseys to work.
That’s right. It’s NCAA Football release day.
Admittedly, I’m more of a Madden guy over here, so the NCAA thing is more an appetizer, a nice little diversion while the hands continue to twitch from Madden withdrawal.
But it is usually a pretty decent game, if not as complete as its professional counterpart. Plus, I have a roommate who can download all the players’ names (he’s good like that), which makes the game about three or four times more fun. It sure beats going through and fixing every player individually, which, um, I did one year. (Hangs head in shame.)
Will I or R be buying the 2007 version? No - but that won’t stop us from reviewing it. The day job will allow me to procure a free copy directly from EA, which I will review and report back with as soon as possible. So stay tuned for that, and get those thumbs ready. Whether you’re a Madden or NCAA type, it will be a long fall.
It’s draft day…
Finally. Thanks to ESPN’s crazy coverage of this thing before it started, we’re already sick of it and it’s still an hour away. We wonder how excited Mel Kiper Jr. is right now. Dickie V. Duke-North Carolina excited? Maybe ESPN should set up a crotch cam.
Last night, the Texans announced they would be selecting Mario Williams with the first pick and not Mr. Reggie Bush. We’re really not sure about this one. Sure, Mario Williams is good. But is he No. 1 pick good? Is he better than Reggie Bush? We aren’t so sure. But, hey, we’re no experts.
But anywho, sit back, relax and enjoy the draft on this late April Saturday afternoon. We all owe it to Mel after all his hard work, don’t we?
