Zach Randolph and Nate Robinson are brothers

Here is Zach Randolph and Nate Robinson enjoying some quality time together during a stoppage in play. You may say throwing water at another individual is childish, immature. I would say you are wrong, fair friend.

Clearly, these ballplayers have a special brotherly bond and thus are fighting like real, true brothers. This video, perhaps above all us, explains why the Knicks have gelled as a team this year under the great leadership of Isiah Thomas. (Za-za-za-zing!)

This is money well spent

You’ve seen that video numerous times, so there’s no need to watch it again. If you should choose to do so, however, you’d be well served to take a long look at Carmelo Anthony’s flailing suckerpunch one more time.

It’s that form - and the subsequent movement in the opposite direction - that is probably the motivation behind this:

To stay special, Anthony said he and Smith have been doing extra shooting on non-game nights at the Pepsi Center. Anthony also said he plans to aid his conditioning by taking boxing classes during his layoff.

“I’m ready to start some boxing classes,” Anthony said. “I did it during the summertime just for my stamina. It really helps with stamina, plus it gets stress out, too, on the punching bag. At least I can hit something I can’t get in trouble with.”

Ha. Haha. Stress. What ever happened to a good old fashioned stress ball? Come to think of it, this looks like a perfect present for Nate Robinson.

Silly little Nate

Just when you think the Knicks couldn’t be any worse, couldn’t possibly be more unwatchable, one of their most exciting - and strangely effective - players goes and pulls a stunt like this … and totally redeems himself!

This is Nate Robinson - N-Robs, if you’re nasty - attempting to dunk on a fast break last night and, as he said, fire his team up. It turns out coach Isiah Thomas really enjoyed the attempt. He had this to say:

“I thought it was great,” Thomas said.

Oops. My fault. That was about Bob Knight slapping a dude in the face. Hey, these mistakes happen. Let’s see if we can’t find that Isiah quote … yep, here it is:

Isiah Thomas wasn’t happy and, in the next timeout, let Robinson hear it. “I don’t think we’ll see that again,” Thomas said.

Yeah Coach, because another instance like this, and you never know - people might actually stop taking the Knicks seriously.

Yao got served

I heard about this clip a day or two ago, searched for it frantically, and for some reason didn’t come across it. Until now, that is, fully entrenched in my post-Thanksgiving, family-avoiding, food coma-induced internet wanderings. But here we are. Clip and me. Happy, free.

This is Nate Robinson, one of the shorter humans in the NBA blocking Yao Ming, one of the, um, larger. For all my bluster about Yao last week, it’s Youtube moments like this - and like this, and this - that stick in fans’ heads, cementing the notion that dude isn’t a dominator, even though he is.

Anyway, look at little N-Robs! He’s so tiny! Weeeee!
