That went well
OK ladies, it’s Super Bowl week, and you know what that means … we’re only a few days away from the best commercials of the year, replete in glorious commercialized splendor.
And, hey, we hear K-Fed’s doing something this year. That’s wild.
We’ll be paying pretty close attention to the ads this year, if only because we’ve got access to them on the fly (more on that later), but for now, let’s pause and think about where we’ve been this past year, and where no company really wants to go.
That’s right; let’s think about ESPN Mobile:
Yep. At some point during the Super Bowl last year, you probably said “Wow, an ESPN cellphone service. I mean, that sounds kinda cool. I can’t switch my plan over without a huge contract hit, sure - and after all, I already get sports scores - but, it says ESPN on it! That’s really sort of cool. I am moderately intrigued. Wait, is that Baron Davis at a bus stop?”
We all know how that story ended. Here’s to this year’s clever ad for a hypothetically intriguing but practically useless product. The Postmen will be watching in great anticipation.
