David Stern’s brain sometimes stops working
I like David Stern a lot. He’s a good commissioner. He gets it to an extent that Bud Selig could only dream of, and to which Roger Goodell still has to prove he’s capable. Overall, he’s a net positive for the NBA.
But sometimes — as above, or on the radio with Dan Patrick after last year’s seminal Suns-Spurs call — Stern’s brain stops working. He gets defensive. And all of a sudden he sounds like a painfully indignant, elitist d-bag who can’t stand your petty insolence. How dare you be so, so … American. Pfft.
