Tennessee’s Candace Parker dunks?

We here at the Postmen aren’t sexist, but we will point out inaccuracies when we see them. No. 2 Tennessee destroyed No. 15 Army 102-54 in first round NCAA women’s tourney action. That much we know to be fact.

But what we aren’t so sure about was the report that Candace Parker dunked twice in the game. This was the first time any woman had dunked in a tourney game, the first time a woman had dunked twice in a game and was only the fourth dunk in NCAA women’s basketball history. We applaud her for that.

But after watching the video of it on ESPN, I would say the results are inconclusive at best. It looks more like she threw the ball over the rim, then grabbed onto it after the ball went in. It’s debatable. Take a look at the video and judge for yourselves.
