Meet your new American Gladiators

So yeah: pretty much everybody that runs one of these Web sites with the articles you can comment on that run in chronological order, are updated frequently and usually have some sort of a banner or sidebar is pretty pumped for the new “American Gladiators” on NBC. (We, of course, are fans of the sheer athleticism coupled with the cast of amazing characters.) In any event, NBC has dropped bios and pictures of the new Gladiators. The names aren’t too bad. We got: Crush, (ed. note CAAA-RUUUSH) Fury, Siren, Hellga (pictured, whoa boy), Venom and Stealth for the ladies and Justice, Mayhem, Militia, Tor, Titan and Wolf on the men’s side.

For fun, here’s Venom’s bio:

She has shed her skin to become one of the most feared warriors in Gladiator Arena. She stalks her prey with caution and strikes when it is least expected. Any opponent that faces her had better come prepared because there is no known antidote for Venom, who is lethal in any dose.

Holy shit! I had to run away from my computer for a few minutes after I read that, what a competitor! Anyways, it drops Jan. 6, so we’ll know if the new version sucks or not soon enough. I’m betting it’s kind of cool, but also sort of lame. Which, believe it or not, is a typical description of this blog.
