1950s Marlboro NFL ads sort of racist, also cigarette-y

If there was some way to have my TV illicit broadcasts all day from the 1950s — I don’t want to go back in time, eff crew tops and plaid short sleeve shirts — by golly, I think I would really enjoy that. Seriously, why is there not a channel that just plays overtly racist, sexist and odd PSAs and commercials from that time period all the day long? We can all point, laugh and say: “look how far our country has come in the past 50 years!” (Oh, riiiight. Sigh.) This must surely be a higher, more fulfilling sense of entertainment than “Making the Band 4″ or “Bad Girls Club,” right? (Note: I didn’t not watch either of these shows for any amount of time last night.)

So it is within that spirit that via KSK, this 1958 NFL ad is on display for you. I wish the Chicago Cardinals were still around. It would give me someone else to root for besides the Bears.

What is that thing? That is Brownie Elf, the mascot for the Clevland Browns.

    From article:
“…why is there not a channel that just plays overtly racist…”

Remember, when the politically correct use the term racist, they simply mean white Gentiles who discriminate.

It is a racial slur directed only at White Gentiles. Racist = honky, or honky-ish.

So, the translation of the quote would be: “…why is there not a channel that just plays overtly honky-ish…”
