It takes nothing, literally nothing, for Chicago fans to get excited about stuff. Cedric Benson is the next Walter Payton! Cedric Benson is a bum! The Bulls are Eastern Conference Champions in wait! The Bulls need Kobe Bryant! The Blackhawks are a waste of time! The Blackhawks are fun now! Seriously, this never ends. It will never end.

The latest chorus goes something like this: The Bulls are good again, and Joakim Noah is the future. All it took? One effing game. It baffles.

Joakim Noah may or may not be the future; I’ll reserve my excited fandom for when Mr. Noah appears capable in consecutive outings against decent teams. But all that cynicism aside … this dunk last night was pretty fucking awesome. I know Tom Dore’s excited.
