Marc Bulger needs to take cover

Here’s Marc Bulger, recovering from a concussion — not exactly the least painful injury, especially if you’re one of those guys who get incessant migraines. That shit hurts, son.

Anyway, so here’s Marc Bulger, feeling better, relaxing at practice, enjoying some time with teammates, and BAM. What’s the most you ever lost on a coin toss, Marc?

Marc Bulger’s return from a concussion received a setback two weeks ago during practice when he was struck on the head by a football.

Team sources said Bulger was struck with an errant throw by a teammate — not a quarterback. The ball traveled 30 to 40 yards before hitting Bulger, who wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Team sources said the blow definitely delayed Bulger’s recovery time.

Ouch. At first glance, this looks like a classic case of no one shouting ‘heads up!’ and alerting Bulger to the oncoming projectile. Happens, I guess. But when you dig deeper — and by dig deeper I mean think really hard of something funny to say — it becomes clear that Bulger’s teammates have no desire to see him play quarterback the rest of the season. Which makes them exactly like the rest of us.
