June Jones disses the Tebow
When I’m not mixing up my homonyms inside the confines of this site, you can usually find me administering written OTPHJs to the one, the only Tim Tebow. There is really no reason to expound upon this: the kid is a monolith, a game-changer, a friend to the well-endowed. So when I saw Hawaii coach June Jones (via Year 2 via FanHouse) hating on Tebow, I didn’t know what to do.
Observe:
OK, a few things here:
1) Jesse Palmer sounds smart, reasonable and correct. Whoa.
2) Colt Brennan and his master wizard arm are nothing to scoff at, so June Jones makes some valid points about his guy. He just shouldn’t have busted on Tebow like he did.
3) His name is June.
4) The Bears need to get both Colt Brennan and Tim Tebow onto their roster ASAP and blast the current quarterbacks out of there for good. Except Kyle Orton, he can stay.

So why shouldn’t he have said his opinion on Tebow?
Evan:
Because he only did it in an effort to pimp his own guy. There’s no reason for that.
And Colt Brennan is a system quarterback , too … in a system that throws a lot. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady … heck everyone is a system quarterback in their own right.
Uhhhh, also Tim Tebow could play fullback or quarterback in most college systems and look at least average.
Brennans numbers are just as impressive as Tebows. He has more passing yards than Tebow’s total yards combined. Tebow has 51 touchdowns and Brennan is behind him with 46. Tebow’s team is 9-3, unlike 12-0 Hawaii. Granted Hawaii plays nobody, but Tebow has a lot more weapons than Brennan.
The Tebow selection was horrible. The worst in many years. He led his team to a mediocre season. He mostly played against teams with poor defenses. His performance against Auburn was awful.
