The 1986 Rams were full of sexual innuendos

Apologies for two videos in a row, but this is just well … it’s just fantastic. It’s the 1986 Rams singing and rapping a song called “Let’s Ram It.” I was only a one-year-old when this thing came out, but a few observations:

1) The song is called “Let’s Ram it.”

2) I repeat: the song is called “Let’s Ram it.”

3) At some point a dude with a nicely trimmed beard spits this line: “I like to ram it as you can see/nobody likes ramming it more than me.” Like every verse there is a line similar to that. I think my buddy in college used this song as his theme song all four years.

4) Did no one realize how this thing would be perceived? Were people in the 80s that dumb? Or were the Los Angeles Rams just THAT AWESOME?

I don’t think I’ll quite ever understand the 80s. And really, I don’t want to.

Note: I asked a few other blogosphere friends if they had seen this before, and the answer was an “ummm, I don’t think so.” I feel the same way … have I seen this before? I’m not sure. So yeah, sorry if this was cool like eight months ago. Also, this video was found via the brilliance of CSTB’s ‘86 Dodgers video.

The Dodgers video works but the Rams one doesn’t.
