Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson have no respect for the dead
I used to love Soulja Boy here. It brought me great joy in times of great strife. Then right around Bo Ryan’s helpful interpretation, I sadly realized that Soulja Boy had, like all good things, been mutilated beyond recognition by white people. I parted ways with Soulja Boy, only revisiting the dance when very, very drunk. I’d moved on.
But now, see, there should be a law against this. Because as the above — the latest in a very video-heavy day — will show you, there’s nothing quite like when Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson inject themselves into a dying pop culture artifact. This isn’t what killed Soulja Boy, because Soulja Boy was already dead. This is what dug up Soulja Boy and did various unspeakable acts of necrophilia to Soulja Boy and then buried Soulja Boy again. I may never recover.

Iowa City is likely calling the Soulja Boy.

[…] “Crank Dat” was dead and buried, and then Dwight Howard’s Superman dunk brought it back on Saturday. In case we were confused, Howard made sure to credit “Crank Dat” with the genesis of the dunk, because “Crank Dat” is his favorite song. Fair enough. […]
