Already thinking about next year

I’ve harped on the Cubs far longer than I should have in this space — after all, I can get paid to do same at the FanHouse — so I’ll abide the issue by merely posting this: There’s always next year. And the Diamondbacks, both for finally convincing me of their baseball superiority (it took all three games) and for creating the above video*, can all rot in hell.

*Quick footnote: Why can’t people just admit that winning a World Series is hard, and that not doing so in 100 years is very obviously a product of continuously bad baseball reducing a franchise’s already limited chances at winning said World Series? What about curses is fun? Why are people so attached to mythology? Why do I detest it so much? Some of the above are, I think, valid questions.
