Big Baby gets hit by a car, lives to tell about it

Glen “Big Baby” Davis probably should have left college the year LSU went to the Final Four like his Tiger counterpart Tyrus Thomas. The ceiling for the big man, it was high. But he stuck around for another year, LSU wasn’t good and he got drafted in the second round during this summer’s NBA Draft. Bad choice, bub. I feel for ya. Oh yeah, then he got hit by a “smart” car in Rome.

He kind of hit me on the thigh, but it didn’t even hurt at all. I mean, it was one of those small cars that just fits two people. You see them all over here.

I told my mom I got hit by a car, and she was like, “Oh, lord, are you hurt?” I told her, “No, mom, I’m way bigger than the car.”

The guy knew it, too. When he got out, he checked his car first to see if it was OK. It was fine. No insurance claims or anything like that. Everything’s intact. I just kept walking.

One time when I was little, a guy completely ran me over with his bike. (Seriously, true story.) It hurt a lot. Big Baby is a lot tougher than me.
