Mark Cuban sat in the Wrigley Field bleachers (with photos!)

We swear; we don’t follow Mark Cuban around. Hey, if the guy is going to frequent watering holes in our now alma mater’s town, we’re bound to run into him, no? He just keeps popping up where our friends and us are, promise.

Case in point, and to rehash my morning’s FanHouse post on the subject, here’s GK’s tale– a good friend of the Postmen — of his encounter with Mark Cuban in the Wrigley Field bleachers Monday night.

We got into the bleachers about 45 minutes before game time and Cuban sat down maybe 10 minutes later. He was being cool with everyone, signing autographs and taking pictures. He seemed into the game. A couple chants broke out, “Cuban! Cuban!” The better one was “Buy the Cubs! Buy the Cubs!” to which he pumped his fist at one point.

There was a guy from itsgonnahappen.com sitting about five rows in front of him with a big “its gonna happen” sign. At one point, he got up to go to the bathroom and Cuban asked to hold his sign while he was gone, he held it up and everyone went nuts.

I only glanced at him after DeRosa’s game winner but he was jumping up and down and cheering like everyone else. Finally we waiting a good ten minutes before we filed out and he was still there signing autographs and taking pictures again. I thought for sure he was going to leave when they were down three in the bottom of the ninth but he stuck around.

What can I say, we love this guy.
