Rex Grossman, ‘mental midget’
Sure, Rex Grossman’s mind isn’t always on the task at hand, but who knew the lack of respect for his ability ran so deep — even in the Bears organization last year?
Ron Rivera, who did such a good job managing his career he went from a head coaching candidate to the Chargers’ linebackers assistant, apparently revealed what some in the Bears organization thought of Sexy Rexy last year — that he was a “mental midget”:
—Linebackers coach Ron Rivera apparently told his charges that the way to beat the Bears is to rattle QB Rex Grossman. Rivers was the Bears’ defensive coordinator last year. “Coach told us that Rex was kind of a mental midget so you can get into his head and create that doubt,” Wilhelm said.
Ouch.
Not sure what this makes Kyle Orton, but whatever it is, it can’t be any less flattering than that neckbeard.

Ha Ha - I was wondering why Grossman was always looking at the sidelines for advice with a puzzled look on his face.
