Case of the Mondays: Happy birthday, E

postmane.jpgThere’s no way I could do this site by myself. I don’t have the time to invest in it daily, nor the drive or motivation to keep up day in and day out. That’s not to say I wouldn’t have those traits under the right circumstances, but it is to say that this is just something we do in our free time. It’s something we do for fun.

So, on the day E’s mother set him alive on this Earth — he’s finally 22, the kid is crazy young for his age — I would like to extend a very bloggy happy birthday wish and a wholehearted thanks. Thanks for coming along on this amusing Interweb journey with me and believing in the site, even though when we used to look like this, (sorry Sam!) that wasn’t always the case. Thanks for being a better writer than me so that this blog actually can hold its own here and there. Thanks for being on the same wavelength with me as far as editorial and design criteria is concerned here, (although, I didn’t always think this was a good idea to put up; I do now) because that’s what’s driven this thing. Lest we get too self-absorbed, I’ll cut it off there.

So consider this the official PostmanE birthday thread. If you know him personally or even if you don’t, leave a comment if you feel so inclined. (Seriously, somebody leave one at least, or I will look stupid. )

Here’s to E. He’s another year older and another year bloggier. And here’s to a small celebration tonight. Because, if you cant celebrate your birthday, Christ, what can you celebrate?

    PMK: Facebook wall posts are still welcomed, but I’m glad to see the Postmen has wedged itself into the birthday-wishing market ever so slightly.

    Sam: Though considerably more sober and alert, I got lost on Michigan Ave yesterday. That will have to suffice for this year, unfortunately. (But there will be shot-bricks. Oh, there will be shot-bricks.)
