Case of the Mondays: Brady Quinn already making Browns fans mad

quinn.jpgNational Football League:

You know, for a guy that hasn’t even played a snap in the NFL yet, Brady Quinn has become rather headline worthy this summer. Whether it be his crotch-grabbing, the wedding photos or his on-stage antics at that Poison show, he’s making the jobs of bloggers everywhere a little easier to do. His latest offense? Dude was charging for autographs unannounced at a suburban Cleveland mall Saturday.

It cost at least $75 for a signed picture and up to $225 for other merchandise.

Several fans called NewsChannel5 saying they thought they could bring anything for the Browns QB to sign. But then they found out they had to buy either an autographed picture or previously signed merchandise. They said there was no advertising that autograph seekers would have to pay.

One can only hope it was the aforementioned crotch-grab shot that was going for $225 a pop.

Soccer:

For all the hoopla surrounding Becks and Posh when they arrived in the states, (or perhaps lack thereof, depending upon your frame of reference) when Beckham finally got onto the pitch late in the second half of the Galaxy’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea, it was pretty darn cool. Take a look for yourself, homie.

Golf:

I know most of the attention was focused on the British Open this weekend in Scotland, but seeing as I spent part of my weekend in Milwaukee, let us not forget the U.S. Bank Championship that went down there this weekend as well. In fact, while standing in line at the john in a bar, me and a guy with an Australian accent chatted for a bit. Turns out he participated in said U.S. Bank Championship, shot two over and didn’t make the cut. (Turns out you don’t make squat if you don’t make the cut.) After combing the leaderboard and doing a quick google search, I concluded my man was none other than Michael Sim. (I’m an AWESOME detective.) He finished in a tie for 83rd. Sim seemed like a nice fellow and I hope someday he takes out T. Woods. Just so I can say I talked to that guy in line in a bathroom once.

Because, you know, that’s the American Dream, really.

HT to MDS for the Quinn and Becks stuff.
