Greg Oden blogging, ignoring punctuation

odensmiling.jpgBefore we begin let me just say that I think Greg Oden seems lovely. For a kid who is being called the savior of the NBA (or is that Kevin Durant; I always confuse that), Oden seems humble, approachable and just downright friendly, which is what I’ve heard from anyone who’s ever claimed to know him.

It is in that spirit that I would like to welcome Greg Oden to the world of blogging, and encourage him to seek a proofreader before he posts his official Yarbarker rantings:

It was a good trip I had a lot of fun even though I didn’t get a chance to ride New York New York in Vegas. In Vegas I was at the USA National Team Press conference. It was just Kevin Durant and I we were not there for very long but it was good. He and I are pretty cool even though I must say my suit looked GOOD!!!! There is no competition between me and him we just do what we do, which is breathe, eat, ball, go out, and sleep (in that order lol). I feel the comparisions between me and him are ridiculous we don’t play the same position, we have two different styles and personalities, and grew up in two different places. I guess since we are looked at as the two best prospects in this years draft we will always be connected. Back to the press conference really it was nothing a couple of comments from Mr. Colangolo then Kevin and Myself which was 10 mins at most. Then we had individual interviews which are nothing but fun and i like to say the tv once no matter what i said it wouldn’t matter cause that suit looked GOOD, as anyone can feel now i really liked that suit.

There’s good news and bad news about this passage. The good news: Greg doesn’t appear to have a ghostwriter. The bad news: Greg was best writer in his rhetoric classes at Ohio State.

Prose from the Pros:

The super bowl is most famous among the fans of football matches due to the participation of all well-known football players. The miami dolphins is known as one of the most reputable community of professional football players in Miami. The new england patriots is one of the most leading football organization, located in Foxborough, Massachusetts which recently has joined national football league.

I thought it was great. Way to put yourself outthere Greg (cool name). It’s a lot easier to poke fun at someone than give kudos. A sports blog post ought not be judged for its grammar.

I wont hold too much against Greg for spelling/grammar. He just seems like he’s really enjoying the ride he’s on and is as friendly as he seems. Maybe he has the same PR team as Shaq.

    Kudos Greg!

Sorry about the rough start in the NBA but like life things happen and there is never a good time for an unfortunate event. There is always a positive side to any downside. In your case you can take this opportunity to optimize your body by providing it the nutrition it needs to help prevent these types of injuries. As you recover I hope you seize the opportunity to work with your doctors, nutritional experts, and naturalist to become stronger and more valuable to your organization. I work with lots of young athlete’s diet and strength training to help prevent injury. We use a holistic approach to keep our athletes performing at an optimal level. This is just a bump in the road, move forward by coming back stronger than ever. Fuel your body with the right diet and you’ll thank yourself as well have a very long NBA career.
