The greatest football move EVER

I’ll direct you to the above video as the reason why they need to bring “American Gladiators” back on the air. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to watch this instead of “Are You Smarter Than 5th Grader?” Nobody, that’s who.

The excitement from Mike Adamle and the crew here is out of control. It’s like the dude threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to himself and instead of doing a simple ball spike in celebration, he took the nearest cheerleader back to the locker room, emerged a few minutes later to kickoff, tackled the guy he kicked to, caused a fumble and scored ANOTHER touchdown.

That’s about the level of awe we’re dealing with here.

My memories of Gladiator from back in the day were giant q-tips, huge hamster balls with people in them and the awesomeness of Mike Adamle…but any mystique he had in my memory is now shot to hell.

Adamle makes Suzyn Waldman sound coherent and thoughtful. OK, no he doesn’t.
