I'm not sure there's a bigger blowhard than Jay Mariotti. He's not one of those guys that you love to hate because he makes well-substantiated arguments that, even if you disagree with him you still give him props. He's the kind of guy that gets outraged over everything, regardless of whether or not it's faux-outrage. I'm not sure if he understands that the thing attached to his lapel is a microphone. As in a device that amplifies the sound of your voice. As in stop screaming at me Mariotti, my ears are bleeding. www.patrickdonohue.wordpress.com

did you see the article Mariotti's "colleague" wrote about the bears being racists?

First she claims Brian Urlacher's contract was racism and then discredits that statement by saying that the year before Ray Lewis got the same kind of contract.

Then she goes on to say that, "well, if Dick Jauron can get a contract extension after one winning season, why can't Lovie?" Um, do you even remember Dick Jauron's rein? Remember how he kept making terrible personnel and strategic decisions? That was a terrible deal for the Bears and something they didn't want to repeat.

Then she question why the bears were tentative to raise Lovie's salary from 1.5 million a year to 5.5 million a year... um, once again this make so much sense it hurts my brain. do you think its easy for anyone to increase someones pay 5 TIMES what it currently is? why buy the milk for $5.5M when you can get it for $1.5M

sorry this just got to me!
