Damn dude, that’s just cold

Brian Billick (yes this Brian Billick) fired his offensive coordinator yesterday. The Ravens, though a somewhat excellent and endeavorous national football league squad this season, aren’t exactly the offensive juggernauts, like say, these guys were last football season.

But, the said offensive coordinator is Jim Fassel, one of Billick’s close friends. And as the title to this post has already stated – damn dude, that’s just cold.

Now, Fassel is quoted as saying that both men were sort of co-anchoring the offense, and it wasn’t working out all too well. They came to an agreement that someone had to go.

But still, do we have to use the word ‘fire?’ Can’t we say, ‘resigned’ or just explain the situation and say Fassel has ‘moved on?’

Billick’s always sorta seemed like a pompus prick to me, (although, I’m not always the best judge of character, who steals from a friend, honestly?) so perhaps this fits into his mantra or modus operandi.

Either way, he dogged his boy a bit on this one. No two bones about it. Which, reminds me, if I don’t come up with those MandMs-flavored Kudos soon, I could soon see the fate of Jim Fassel…
