Yea, you make a good point. I could also make the comparison of having advertisements for attorneys who specialized in pedophile charges. It doesn't mean that he endorses pedophiles. But, what kind of message does that send? If his purpose is to help stop hazing (many alcohol related), why the need for ads to help idiots "beat drunk driving" convictions, other than to make a quick buck? So yea, he may be 100% against drunk drivers (and capital murderers, pedophiles, etc..)...but that's not the kind of message he is sending.

I'm not sure I understand the parallel being drawn by the poster, Jason. If the webmaster of that website chooses to take advertising money from those who represent the accused of drunk driving in court, who are we to say that he is endorsing drunk driving? As easily as you can rattle off statistics about how many drunk driving deaths there have been, someone could rattle off how many drivers have been acquitted of bogus charges. I'm not condoning drunk driving, but I am condoning the right of a person to proper representation in court. If I was convicted of that, and I believed myself to be innocent or that there was something wrong with the way I was accused of the charge, I would be damn sure to hire a lawyer who represents people such as myself.

Let me make a comparison. If that webmaster had advertisements for defense attorneys who specialized in capital murder charges, would that be his endorsement of first-degree murder? I think not--and as we have seen in states such as Illinois, there are plenty of cases where the wrongly convicted have been imprisoned.
