the '06 draft worked out well, obviously Hester was a smart pick in the 2nd round and the jury is still out on Manning but he's done pretty well so far in his rookie year.

they had trouble drafting offense in the past (I almost stabbed myself when they picked that untalented hack, Cade McNown) but guys like Grossman, Benson, Conway, and Orton were decent picks. I think they've figured out how to draft OK on the offensive side of the ball and they won't constantly be looking to fill the QB/RB position anymore which was their downfall.

That ACU guy, I think they might be thinking about trying to play him at WR. That would make sense to me, at least. I'm always leary about taking wide receivers early, so I wasn't too upset with their draft. Anyone remember David Terrell?

Ok, so the Bears had an OK draft, but you missed so many good actual stories. Especially as bears fans: The Packer's offseason continues to blow, relatively. Sure they get Hawk because they were so bad last year. But Daryn Colledge, an OT from Boise State? Crap.

Plus, Detroit forgot they are going to need a QB some day and drafted D. The Bears will continue to dominate them as long as McMilltard is at the helm.

To be fair, the Vikings got help up front, help stopping the run and help stopping the pass. And they got a wild card QB. If they can string some offense together they could give teams fits who have trouble scoring - like the Bears.

You guys kinda suck at being Bears fans. Just kidding. Not.

Ok so i dont get it. The Bears spent 5 of their 7 picks this weekend on defensive players (and their 2 offensive picks were a FB and a Guard in the 6th round) ...correct me if i'm wrong but their defense was fairly solid last year while their offense would have had a rough time finding the end zone against IU's defense. I have to say, over the years i've been impressed with their drafting skills on the defensive side of the ball, but would it kill them to hire an offensive scout? Let's recap their past picks, Cedric Benson, a slower Ricky Williams (minus the pot), barely played because oh yeah they already had 3 servicable tailbacks, Rex Grossman has a nice arm but he's softer than the charmin extra soft he wipes his ass with, and David Terrell...ok thats too easy, and the list goes on. Do they have a clue when it comes to drafting offense? I wouldn't have been shocked to hear them take a flier on Osama Bin Laden late in the 5th round, and when a stunned Sal Palantonio asked Jerry Angelo about it couldn't you just see him saying, "well Sal quite frankly we were shocked he was still on the board. with the way he's been able to disappear, we thought he was a perfect fit for our offense."

sorry for the protracted rant, finals are melting my brain.
